Cookie Policy
Effective date: 4 July 2026 Last updated: 4 July 2026
This is the English-language version, which is the authoritative version.
This Cookie Policy explains how Open Tools at open-tools.app (the "Service"), operated by
NM Technology Services & Solutions (Grupo NMTSS), NUIT 112059725, uses cookies and similar
technologies. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let a site remember things such as whether you are signed in or which language you prefer. "Similar technologies" include local storage and equivalent mechanisms used for the same purposes.
2. Our approach — strictly-necessary only
Open Tools uses only strictly-necessary cookies — the small number required to make the Service work, keep you signed in, and protect our forms from bots. We use no analytics cookies and no advertising or tracking cookies.
Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required under applicable law. We nonetheless disclose them in full below so you know exactly what is set.
3. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
tlmk_sid | Open Tools | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. It is an opaque, HttpOnly session identifier; server-side we store only a SHA-256 hash of it. | 7 days |
NEXT_LOCALE | Open Tools | Functional (strictly necessary) | Remembers your chosen interface language. | Persistent |
| Cloudflare Turnstile bot-check cookie | Cloudflare | Strictly necessary (security) | Set only on the signup and suggestion forms to distinguish humans from bots. Managed by Cloudflare Turnstile. | Short-lived (set by Cloudflare) |
tlmk_sid is only set once you sign in — anonymous use of the tools does not require
it. Cloudflare's bot-check cookie appears only when you interact with a form protected by
Turnstile.
4. What we do NOT use
- No third-party analytics cookies (we run no third-party analytics).
- No advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
5. Third-party cookies
Aside from the Cloudflare Turnstile security cookie described above, we do not set third-party cookies as part of the Service. If you follow an external link (for example, to Ko-fi to make an optional donation, or — once paid plans launch — to PayPal to manage a subscription), that third party may set its own cookies under its own policy, which we do not control.
6. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can set your browser to block them. Note that if you block the strictly-necessary cookies above, parts of the Service — in particular staying signed in and submitting protected forms — may not work.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
